I saw life pretty much one way and I, at the time, didn’t know how to see it from any other perspective. I knew I was different in the way I communicated, learned, and worked. It was actually pretty frustrating most of the time because of the way I internalized my feelings. I was really lonely and felt as though I didn’t have anyone I could rely on or run to for help or advice.
like a juggler will need to let some balls go in order to sustain his act, sometimes, in order to gain valuable assets, more attention will need to be given to one area while other things get temporarily dropped. This is the ebb and flow of life; the consistent inconsistencies that keep us tethered to our goals.
Why do we say we are okay when we aren’t? When did the question, how are you, become an appendage of hello instead of an individual question wanting an answer? Do we really care or are we just being polite? How did we get to the place where platitudes are common courtesy and meaningful conversation trades for a nod and a smile? How is it that we are so globally connected yet so desperately alone?
Do you find you feel like a hamster in a wheel spinning and spinning, but seemingly not going anywhere? Are there days when you know that you must have gotten a lot done but can’t remember exactly what all you did? We can get lost in the day to day grind and easily lose sight of our goals if we don’t have direction and a set path to follow. That’s where management skills will come in handy.
I know it can be difficult to look at the bright side when there are so many uncertainties, struggles, and misfortunes in life, But by doing a few simple things, you can help lift your spirits and the help spread the love to others as well.
